Location: House Of Blues - Atlantic City, NJ
Date: July, 29 2005

I left New York in the early Friday afternoon, after an overwhelming working week but also full of enthusiasm for the upcoming 3 concerts weekend of our adored Duran Duran!
The Garden State Parkway that goes to Atlantic City is, during summertime, notoriously “bumper-to-bumper” and I’m just feel getting more stressed because of the traffic.
After over 5 hours journey, I finally arrived to The Shoreboat Hotel & Casino/House Of Blues in Atlantic City… the line in front of the doors is totally insane but, luckily, I’m dragged in with VIP holders. In 3 seconds, I ended being on the third row, squeezed in the center-front stage – Simon!
Waiting and standing hasn’t been relaxing at all! Dragonette, the opening act, was taking at stage at 9PM only. Only at 10:15 pm, the traditional “heartbeat” sound has brought the band on stage and introduced the remarkable “Friends Of Mine”.
Chills are all over me. I look around and the audience is screaming out of their lungs!
I immediately forget my stressful week and any other vital functions! The show is starting and it’s full of energy, as always.
The set list of the night is kind of mellow with several “slow” songs, including “The Finest Hour” (first time I can hear it live). Rock/Dance hits though were squeezed in and great surprise was, The Reflex B-side, “Make Me Smile”.
Unfortunately, due to the venue policy, cameras were totally prohibited and I couldn’t take any shots. However, I was able catch a little bottle of water, that Simon has thrown to the public, and to collect the set listed taped on front stage (as you can see below).
Great show and great night!
I arrived at home only at 4:30 am, completely exhausted but still full of adrenaline from the concert. It’s time for resting a few hours before embarking a new DD adventure with tonight’s show at PNC Bank, Holmdel, New Jersey.

Stay Tuned!!!
