Wake up at 7.30 a.m.. Sleeping time: 3 hours. Let’s drive to Birmingham, DD’s birthplace.
The travel to South England is quite long but we have a small break and then go on up to our final destination. 1st stop in “Cheapside”: "The starting point".
We take wonderful pictures in the place where DD performed for the 1st time in 1978.
Then we get to the NEC Arena, wait for the tickets for a while (thanks to Zare’s angry-telephone-call the wait is shorter), make the queue and we settle in the 5th row in front of Simon’s microphone.
The gigs begins as the previous night with Friends of Mine, great ... !
The Boys are at their best, hot and unrestrained more than ever and Simon is a very good front man.
The concert goes on and it’s the time of Istant Karma, the last DD song, a cover from a John Lennon’s song commemorating the 25th anniversary of his death.
The Arena is in a frenzy and the atmosphere is almost unreal. The Fab5 speaks a lot to an audience that knows them very well since the ‘80s and they ‘d like to avoid to introduce themselves officially in Girls on Film, but the audience forces them to do it.
Simon stands on the partition and then dives frontward falling right in front of me, but the girls (Paola, Zare, Bex, Taffy,...and Paolo) who supported his body are not able to restist and he is on his knees and tells me “Take me up”. I try but I’m not able by myself and the boys of the Security helps him. He is pulled off the crowd !
To be mentioned are the superb Skin Trade (Andy’s guitar is very funky) and the ever pretty Electric Barbarella that have been started twice as John’s mistake at the 1st beginning.
At last, Rio and its final encore with silvery small sheets shooted by the guns over the incredulous crowd.
Short rest and Fatal Kiss begins followed by A View To A Kill. The unsorpassable Wild Boys closes the gig: it is a videoclip-version with shoots and flames at every refrain.

For me this Xmas Tour is the best I have ever seen! I am looking forward to joining the next one in short time ... thank You, Boys.
